This update introduces a demux_packet_pool, allowing for the reuse of
previously allocated packets when needed.
sizeof(AVPacket) is not a part of the lavc public ABI, which prevents us
to allocate memory in larger blocks. However, we can substantially
decrease the amount of alloc/free operations during playback by reusing
both mpv's demux_packet and AVPacket.
This adjustment addresses the root cause of issue #12076, which,
although resolved upstream, did not fully tackle the persistent problem
of allocating small blocks of aligned memory. This issue largely stems
from the FFmpeg design of the AVPacket API. After this change memory
will no longer be allocated once cache limits is reached.
The demux_packet_pool is shared as a global pool of packets for a given
MPContext.
This change significantly speeds up the demuxer deinitialization,
benefiting file switching scenarios, especially when a large demuxer
cache is used.

This ensures that we don't open some other fd, for example when loading
playlist. Also filters out loading any local files.
This also allows to remove custom filtering from fuzzer itself.
It should be more than enough for this and avoids some huge allocations
on broken files. 128 MiB is already huge for audio buffer, but better
than 4 GiB...
Fixes reading EMBL sizes in some files and makes this function readable
while at it.
Would be good to inline mp_log2(), but should be good enough.

The leak detector has been disabled due to a libass leak that was
causing the test to fail. I initially expected this change to be
temporary until a patch release of libass became available and we could
update it. However, it has been a few months without a release. Instead
of waiting, re-enable the leak detector and add a suppression file for
this specific leak.

Note that all mpv code expects 64-bit offsets already. And we set
_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 unconditionally. Also this mirrors lseek() that we
already have wrapped in similar way.
Trivial wrapper around _chsize_s() to return -1 on errors always.
_chsize_s() returns errno value. At the same time errno is set to the
same value.
FILE_WRITE_DATA has to be added in append mode, because _chsize_s()
requires write permissions, not only append. We lose atomic append, but
we follow POSIX here, so that's fine, I guess.
To make mypy happy. PyQtGraph doesn't define types, so ignore those.
PyQt6 has types, but we use only one function from it, so to avoid
installing it, ignore it too.
It is now handled internally by the libmpv profile.
Since `player` was the default option, the impact should be minimal, as it
is uncommon to override the default option with the same value.
yes/no args will function the same way as before this commit.
We build and ship this code, so it makes sense to make sure it is ok.
Tests for FFmpeg, libass and libplacebo are explicitly enabled. The rest
is in default state, so if tests are enabled by default, they will run.
Update flags are often updated, so make space for expand them. Reorder
all values to make it easier to add new ones, until there is no more
space.

This is already done in WndProc, but the flag was not set if we exited
event loop and were processing mpv dispatch messages in fallback loop.
This fixes the case when Window is destroyed externally or otherwise
event loop fails for whatever reason. Calling vo_w32_uninit does call
DestroyWindow() through dispatch, which in turn calls WndProc, so we
need to guard recursive call.
If a hook fails to invoke or a client has been removed during hook
processing, attempt to continue with the next hook if possible.
Before this commit, any failure during hook processing would cause the
hook processing to stop.
This issue can be reproduced when auto_profiles.lua registers an on_load
hook and exits afterward because no profiles are registered. In such a
state, the next hook would fail and not invoke.
There are many scenarios where a hook client may be broken,
unresponsive, or disabled, so it makes sense to continue processing
subsequent hooks.
The regression we observed was caused by e2284fba1 and 5dc404741, which
made auto_profiles.lua register hooks and then exit, leaving stale hooks
registered. However, the root cause is not limited to the
auto_profiles.lua case.

This allows to select DVD/Blu-Ray title easily. Titles are listed as
editions with their duration and number.
I wanted to include Angles also in this selection, but currently Angles
are not that well supported, so let's stick with titles and leave the
rest for the future changes.
We might migrate to lavf demuxer for DVD/Blu-Ray in the future, the mpv
implementation is rotted anyway.

If p->colormatrix is 0 if not set by user, so it would always override
_orig parameters with Dolby Vision ones and restore that erroneously.

Dependent tracks are supposed to be processed further and not directly
used.
For example, an HEIF tiled image tracks are meant to be stitched into a
full image before being displayed and requires special handling.
Another example would be MPEG-TS audio track tagged with mix_type=0.
Which means that the audio stream is a dependent stream and is intended
to be mixed or combined with a separate complete and independent audio
stream by the receiver.
In either case we should not directly select such tracks.
It turns out mpv doesn't tag at all when doing conversions, so we just
re-tag here and hope for the best. This should be improved, but there
are many different code paths when conversion can happen, so for now
revert to previous behavior.

This fixes `ytdl_hook`, which would start playback with the thumbnail
track selected. This issue occurs because the thumbnail track is added
first. If the main track is not marked as default afterward, which it
isn't for single streams, the first track (the image track) would be
selected.
In general, if a non-image track is available, it should be preferred.
If the playlist is loaded directly from a protocol like memory://, the
playlist_path represents the entire playlist. In cases where we have a
large playlist, this results in the entire playlist being duplicated for
each item. For example, if the input size is 300 kB with 10k items, we
end up using 3 GB of memory just to store the playlist_path strings.
The current OSD font size is excessively large, causing most
messages—except for very short ones to overflow horizontally.
I conducted testing across multiple devices of varying screen sizes and
under different scenarios. The adjusted font size strikes a good balance
for readability on non-high-DPI displays, while high-DPI displays should
utilize DPI scaling as needed.
Additionally, I compared the font sizes of subtitles and UI elements
across various VOD platforms, which generally use smaller font in most
cases.
The current sub font size was significantly larger than even PGS
subtitles, which are quite large on their own. Now, they are comparable.
The subtitle font size was chosen based on recommendations from the BBC
Subtitle Guidelines. It is set to 8% of the video height with a
recommended scaling factor of 0.67. Therefore, at 720p (the reference
size for mpv font scaling), the calculation is 8% * 0.67 * 720 = 38.592,
rounded down to 38. This value falls within the recommended scaling
range of x0.5–x1 for desktop PCs/Laptops and TVs (32"–42"). For more
information, see
https://www.bbc.co.uk/accessibility/forproducts/guides/subtitles/#Presentation-font-size.
OSD font size is smaller than font as those elements shouldn't be
distractful and only noticable when the user wants to look at them.
Outline size is set to 5.5% of font size.
It already prints %, so there's no need for '/100'. Also, use the print
helper while at it.
6ea08be59a added a percent sign but didn't
remove '/100', so we ended up with both, which is redundant.
Allowing arbitrary command execution for the fuzzer is not ideal. While
some testing of this code is valid, unsupervised fuzzing of the input is
not. It may be better to add a dedicated test or fuzz-test for this
case.
Elements are not parented to the add list, as they are directly copied
to the target list. Therefore, we need to clean them up manually.

Some properties, like `${decoder-list}`, are resource-intensive to
expand. Prevent fuzzing from generating strings with excessive
expansions to encourage shorter test cases.
Expanding properties on each playback frame for `osd-msg1` can be
demanding. However, in regular use cases, this typically isn’t an issue,
so implementing a caching solution wouldn’t be practical in real
scenarios.
